The annual Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) is the industry’s largest trade show, dedicated to all things kitchen and bath design and function. Showcasing and celebrating the latest and greatest from over 600 leading brands, KBIS drives innovation and collaboration through the kitchen and bathroom remodeling industry professionals and its’ attendees.
This year, design and construction professionals from around the country gathered in Las Vegas for the unveiling of what 2020 has to offer! While brands such as Victoria Albers, Kohler, Native Trails, Elkay and True embraced vivid colors, contemporary textures and eye-catching patterns throughout their 2020 material designs, the overall tone of the 2020 KBIS show seemed to steer towards smart technology and product functionality.
As all kitchen and bath design experts know, both form and function are equally important when it comes to a well-planned and professionally remodeled space.
In addition to the Best of KBIS 2020 Award Winners, honoring the most innovative kitchen, bathroom, smart home and outdoor living products introduced at this year’s Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, Sea Pointe Design & Remodel’s team of trusted kitchen and bathroom remodeling professionals had a few favorites of their own!
#1: Kintsu Bath Collection by Brizo
Coming this fall, Brizo’s Kintsu collection stopped our team of kitchen and bath remodeling specialists in their tracks. At the top of the Best of KBIS 2020 list, the simple yet thoughtfully designed plumbing fixtures are described by Brizo as a reflection of elegant, Scandinavian minimalize and Japanese wabi-sabi philosophy. The expertly designed bathroom fixtures will include various handle options, as the collection was designed to fit every bathroom layout imaginable. For clients who crave a spa-like sanctuary, master bathroom remodel, the chic elegance of the show stopping Kintsu collection, are sure to fit the bill.
#2 : A World of Color by Victoria Albert
Bring even more bang to what is already a design showpiece, Victoria Albert has launched a custom coloring service, allowing for the personalization of their award winning, freestanding bathtubs and basins. In addition to Victoria Albert’s six, preexisting, finishes, the wide range of Victoria Albert tubs are now available in a wide array of shades, ranging across the rainbow. The multi-layered finish includes a special catalyzed paint, which is hand polishing between applications. Offered in both gloss and matte finishes, the technique in which the color is applied results in a stunning depth of color and is considerably more durable than hand painted surfaces.
#3 : UltraFresh Front Load Washer by GE
The GE UltraFresh Front Load Washer is a revolutionary laundry system designed to solve our biggest complaints about front load washers. Engineered to stay fresh and clean, this front load washing machine employs a wider gasket drain to keep bacteria and mildew at bay, eliminating the need for owners to wipe down the machine or leave the door open after each load. Eliminating laundry room countertop clutter, the smart washer holds a full 50oz bottle of your favorite laundry detergent, equaling about 32 loads, and automatically dispenses the perfect amount based on the weight and material type. #4 : Positano Vessel Sink by Native Trails
Known for their, absolutely stunning, hammered copper and nickel sinks, prep sinks and freestanding bathtubs, Native Trails leads the kitchen and bath industry in artisan crafted, eco-conscious kitchen and bathroom fixtures. Mastering yet another medium, the expertly hand formed glass sinks of the Positano series are just as functional as they are strikingly beautiful. Offered in four designs, Abalone, Abyss, Bianco and Shoreline, the colors and patterns created through the molding and spinning process gives each piece a unique personality. These modern, cylinder-shape bowls with vertical sides, certified to withstand point impact and thermal shock, will be available this spring.
#5 : Outland Vanity by Trueform Concrete
Breathing new life into a fixture of modern design, Trueform’s top quality, custom concrete products are manufactured with durability and versatility in mind. Marrying the best aspects of modern and rustic design, each handcrafted vanity base features distressed wood shelves and patina steel. Offered in a number of color tones, sink styles and sizes, the Outland vanity is versatile and is sure to shine within your bathroom design.
The designs this year at KBIS were stunning. Over 600 brands announced new products and exhibited their best for KBIS 2020. The Sea Pointe team of designers took it all in and loved the color and function that was delivered at the show. This KBIS product round-up is a few of the Sea Pointe Design Team’s Faves. Some Designers are already clamoring to get sample in the showroom to incorporate in their designs as soon as possible.
