Traditional Coastal Kitchen Remodel in Dana Point

Coastal decor is characterized by a palette of soft colors to communicate a calm and relaxing feel. Incorporating natural elements, the kitchen island steals the show with a weathered beachy look in a Miso brown finish. The Alder wood cabinetry features shaker style doors with honey bronze pulls as well as a built-in sub-zero beverage fridge and microwave.  Evocative of a sunrise over a foamy sea is a creamy white Vadar polished quartz countertop in Serena Gold. A single bowl prep sink with a brushed moderne brass faucet is also set into the countertop. Adding a touch of glam are two open-cage lantern pendants in deep blue with rich gold exposed candelabras.

Across the way sits a single bowl apron sink in sea salt white with a touchless pull-down faucet in ‘brushed moderne brass’. Lining three walls are custom Omega Dynasty maple wood cabinets in a crisp white finish. The Renner style shaker cabinets include two upper cabinets with glass inserts and a crisscross mullion design. The separated refrigerator and freezer blend seamlessly into the cabinetry set on each side of the cooktop. A built-in coffee maker was also included into this design.

Tying in that beachy look is a custom curved hood with large wooden corbels and a Miso brown strip sitting over a stunning new slide in range. The glazed porcelain subway tile backsplash beautifully elevates the kitchen in an ethereal passion white. The vibrant brushed modern brass wall-mounted pot filler is the perfect blend of creative style and practical functionality.
