The Challenge

Because this small bathroom is located in a hallway, the original space is very narrow. It was a tight space that needed to fit two sinks, plenty of storage, and a little farmhouse charm.

To create more space, we made a full wall removal to open up the room and allow for a much larger vanity. This allowed us to add counter space and create room for two full-sized cabinets, providing ample storage for the family’s toiletries. Plus, with the wall out, natural light can flood in, making the space feel larger and brighter.

Designing the Bathroom

We combined various design elements in this bathroom to create a chic, modern farmhouse feel. Examples include the white Herringbone patterned porcelain flooring that complements the white cabinets with black pulls and matching rustic pendants. This brought in just the right amount of farmhouse aesthetic.

Additionally, the matte black sink fixtures that extend from the wall tie the look together, bringing a bit of edge to the clean white backdrop. The quartz countertops add a sleek, modern touch that balances the room’s rustic vibe.

The Result

With the space now optimized and reconfigured, the bathroom serves its purpose as a high-use space for the entire family. By including two vanity sinks, we turned it into a practical space for a busy family, enabling multiple people to use the bathroom at once.
