2003 Color Palette Directions
The CMG, International Association for Color & Design Professionals announces that "New blues will dominate 2003 color directions." Blue has always been associated with tranquility, security & a sense of peace. The new blues though, have atmospheric influences some with watery, aquatic undertones; others with silvery depths.
The influence of nature on the color palette (especially in beautiful Pacific edged Orange County) is deep-seated & will certainly counterbalance the strong effects of technology. Besides the new emergence of aquatic & botanical blues, the soft yellows & greens will remain strong. Oranges & browns (both with coppery influences) are emerging as the important accents and balance to these new vigorous blues.
